Terra Nostra Diagnosis, 2017, sandstone, hand-outs
This work confronts the excess of energy spent in extracting resources. The physical sculpture of the stone effects the creation of another sculpture: the evidence of the sculpting of the artist's body through its decay. By manifesting relationships between these sculptures, the cyclic nature of the Earth and human is emphasised, questioning and gently criticising the relevance of causative thought in science.
