If we have now found (2012) plastiglomerates, we will in the future also find fossils that will comprise of plastic. Surely if rock can surround and lodge into plastic parts, initiating the beginning of a geological process (sedimentarisation) including plastic as a component, fossilization of plastic is not an absurd idea....? The question is, will the geological process turn it back again into crude?
