Froozan Nazari was trying to find a venue and to organise a show for after the degree-show. I had run an events venue in the past in Hackney Wick and thought I could help finding a place, which I did. Since then, we sat down and started organising the show with Charlie Lang, who had also visited other venues to assess this possibility.
Whereas we knew what to do organisation wise, and were keen but green to have a proper go at curating the show, we felt that accepting the kind offer from Charley Peters to curate it was a good idea, to be able to learn from a professional in regards to curation. This was a good move, as we were struggling to find a concept for the show and were getting lost in a democratic approach because of it.
Charley came up with the concept (you can read the PR here), which we immediately found appropriate and a good solution for the "concept" problem, which was such a large variety of practices. We organised ourselves in tasks, with her active support in some of them.
We are now underway with all the proceedings and looking forward to finalise the set-up.
