Having thought of collaborating with as many people as possible in one go, I was delighted to accept Benjamin Martin's proposal of doing interviews to our fellow artists and edit videos for their promo. 

 

The process was exciting and we felt that answering questions about your practice actually helped us reason about our identity as artists.

 

We sent out a form for the artists to fill, asking what type of interview and information they wanted us to discuss in the shooting. A schedule was drafted and we proceeded with filming. It was a very interesting and enriching experience to see the different styles emerge.

 

After all the footage was downloaded, we divided the workload and started the editing process, which only revealed itself problematic at the end stages when we were trying to put the two workloads together. We overcome that quite easily in any case.

This experience was one of the best collaborations I took part in the course of the MFA, as I found in Ben a great collaborator and helped other artists in finding their own voices, as they were put in the spotlight by having to articulate explanations about their practice to an audience. 

It also allowed me to expand and practice my video skills, all around.
